My not-often-updated adventures in the world of Minecraftia
Just some nice shots I took while riding my railway.
So I was going to upload a video of me riding my new railway, showing off the landscape around my home, and all that jazz.
However.
My computer sucks, so the video was quite jerky, and whenever I edited it, my video-editing program (OpenShot Video Editor) was being dumb and basically corrupting parts of the video to be crappy still-frames. Don’t get me wrong, OpenShot has served me quite well in the past, it just wasn’t having a good day today for some reason.
So no video since it looked awful.
This is my deep-earth diamond mining operation. I set up a little base, and decided to make an extra enchanting table for here just so I could get low-level enchantments on my iron tools.
The lava pools are from a vein of lava I found that I stupidly tried to extract again. Why do lava veins have to be so big?
This is my Lava Containment Unit, or LCU. I created this when my initial attempts to store lava burned down my wooden storage room, which is just above.
The glass in the floor is both for lighting and for looks. Using my newly-obtained slimeballs, I created sticky pistons, and used them to blend the openings to the lava pods into the walls when closed.
The LCU currently has four floors, with each floor containing 6 pods; each pod contains 6 blocks of lava. So in total, I currently have 144 blocks of lava in storage, for ease of access.
The outside of my enchanting room/hut. Since I’m a terrible builder, I tried to be creative and make it look like the ground/mountain was forming around it, like it’s a part of them.
The mossy is kinda like the grass growing up, and it’s cracking the smooth stone, with the mountain “growing” over from the top/back with smooth stone.
The inside isn’t even close to being finished, so we’ll wait on that.
